Rehabilitation Science is the systematic study of communication, musculoskeletal, neurological and psychosocial disorders in humans of all ages. The body of knowledge supporting such study includes information about the development, restoration and maintenance of function; the prevention of dysfunction; the facilitation of adaptation to disorder so that skill and function are maximized as individuals interact with their environments; the understanding of normal development and evolution of dysfunction; the optimization of clinical service delivery; and the understanding of relevant administrative, educational and professional issues.
MSc in Rehabilitation Science
The MSc in Rehabilitation Science (MSc-RS) program, which began in 2006, is a two-year, thesis degree program designed to provide entry-level training for future scientists. Typically these are students who plan to pursue a PhD in Rehabilitation Science or a related field. [find out more]
PhD in Rehabilitation Science
The PhD in Rehabilitation Science (PhD-RS) program, which began in 1991, is a three-year research degree program designed to provide advanced research training in rehabilitation science for students from a variety of rehabilitation-related backgrounds, not all of whom are credentialed clinical professionals.
